The Home Store is available by referral and is designed to help individuals and families who are starting over in their own home or apartment. Whether you're moving into a new place, rebuilding after a difficult situation, or simply in need of basic household items, we're here to help.
Shopping at the Home Store is done by referral only.
Our Home Store is stocked entirely through generous donations from our community. Household items, kitchen essentials, bedding, small furniture, and other home necessities are provided free of charge to help create a comfortable and welcoming home environment.

Will the public be able to shop at the Home Store?
Yes! The Home Store is available to individuals and families through a referral process. We work with organizations, social workers, churches, and other community partners who refer individuals to the Home Store. You can find a list of the organizations we are currently working with on our Community Partners page.
Will the Home Store have household items?
Yes! The Home Store provides essential household items to help individuals and families make a house a home. Household essentials are donated by generous members of our community, and everything is provided free of charge to referred shoppers. Please visit our Donations page for more information about what items the Home Store can accept.
Is the Home Store part of the Repurpose Store?
The Home Store and the Repurpose Store are both ministries of Heaven's Helpers, but they serve different purposes. The Repurpose Store also provides employment and mentorship opportunities. Donated items are repurposed and sold, with proceeds supporting the ministry, continued employment, and the broader work of Heaven's Helpers.
The Home Store receives donated household essentials and provides those items free of charge to individuals and families referred through our community partners.
Is Closet (701) on Broadway still open?
Yes! Closet (701) is still open. The Home Store is an extension of the Closet (701) ministry. While Closet (701) continues to provide clothing and personal essentials, the Home Store focuses on providing household essentials to individuals and families who are starting over in a home.
How do I get referred to shop at the Home Store?
Start by visiting with an organization, church, social worker, or other community partner that you are already working with. They can help determine if the Home Store is a good resource for you and provide a referral. Don't see the organization you work with on our Community Partners list? That's okay! They can contact the Home Store to learn more about becoming a referral partner and how to refer individuals to us.

We work closely with local agencies, churches, schools, social service organizations, and other community partners to identify individuals and families who may benefit from the Home Store. Shopping is available by referral only.
All items in the Home Store have been generously donated by members of our community and are provided completely free of charge.

Home Store is in need of volunteers
Heaven’s Helpers Home Store relies on volunteers to help serve individuals and families in the Bismarck-Mandan community who are starting over in their own homes. We are grateful for everyone who helps make this ministry possible!
We welcome individuals and groups to volunteer. Our greatest needs include sorting donations, assisting donors, stocking shelves, and organizing home essentials such as dishes, bedding, small appliances, home décor, and small furniture. By volunteering, you help provide hope and a fresh start to those in need. Consider bringing your family, church group, business team, or friends to serve together!
Ready to volunteer? Click the Volunteer tab at the top of the page, then select Schedule to choose a time that works for you. If your group has more than three people, please call Home at 701-595-4049 before signing up so we can prepare for your visit. We kindly ask that volunteers schedule a separate time to donate household items to help keep daily operations running smoothly.
